The Summit at Snoqualmie is proud to be the venue for two fundraising events at Summit West.
Saturday, March 10th, 2007- Outdoors For All Ski Spree
Teams and individuals can raise funds for this worthy cause that benefits adults and children with disabilities. All participants receive: unlimited demos of 2008 snowboards and skis; an all-day lift ticket; a continental breakfast; lunch from Red Robin; a Spree T-shirt and an après ski party featuring Redhook Beer.
Outdoors For All, formerly known as Ski For All, began in 1979. Initially, their goal was teaching children with disabilities how to alpine ski. Currrent News, Outdoors For All provides more than 2,000 disabled children and adults year-round adaptive recreation programs. Contact Outdoors For All by phone at 425-462-0978, or on the web at www.outdoorsforall.org, for more information on this great event or to make a financial donation.
Sunday, March 11th, 2007- Ride for the Cure
Brought to you by K2 Snowboarding and The Summit at Snoqualmie, the 7th annual Mamafest is a breast cancer prevention and early detection fundraiser. The event includes: a slopestyle competition for skiers and snowboarders; snowboard and ski demos of 2007 and 2008 gear; breast cancer awareness and education booths; live performances by local bands and DJs; a beer garden; a raffle with over $10,000 in prizes, and more.
Last year’s event raised $20,000 and organizers are optimistic that they can surpass that number by at least $10,000 this year. Proceeds will directly benefit the University of Washington Cancer Genetics Clinic, Gilda’s Club and the Young Survivors Coalition. This is Mamafest’s largest fundraiser of the year and their only ski/snowboarding event. For more information, or to make a donation, contact Mamafest at http://mamafest.org.
