The “Last Dance”, or the last days of the Jackson Hole Tram, will be full of excitement. March 28-31, SoBe Apres Ski Concert Series, party with a free outdoor apres ski concert series at the base of the Aerial Tram from 3:30 - 5:30 pm daily. Featuring Tony Furtado, Mandatory Air, and other favorites. April 1, Pole, Pedal, Paddle, a Jackson Hole Classic, this is a four-event relay race where contestants compete either individually or in teams, consists of an alpine ski leg, a cross-country ski leg, a bicycle leg and a boating leg. Join the April Fools madness with the Gaper Fools Day Costume Contest, Send the Tram out in style and dress up in your best vintage ski gear for Gaper Fool's Day. Costume contest at the Village Cafe with a grand prize trip to a destination resort in Florida. April 2, Last Tram Day! Expect the unexpected on this big day in Jackson Hole history.
At 3:30 PM, the last tram ride will be utter mayhem with riders waiting hours to jockey for position to make the last ride. The lucky 55 riders will be a special part of the Jackson Hole history. But the last riders up will also have the annual rite of passage as they run the gantlet of snowballs flung by the welcoming committee. This years welcome should be like no other, but for those lucky few, the rights to claim the last ride will be retold for years at slope side watering holes.
