North American Pond Skimming Championships, May 15 at Mt. Bachelor



Everyone who registers is eligible to win a 2005/2006 Mt. Bachelor Season Pass.

Prize Packs awarded to Top 3 Pond Skimmers!

Register now! Entry is just $15 and limited to the first 100. Download a waiver below and return it with payment to Mt. Bachelor Marketing, 115 SW Columbia in Bend or bring it to the Mountain on the day of the event.

Onsite registration and check in will be May 15 from 8 am to 10 am in Lower West Village Lodge. The first run is at 11 am. Everyone gets at least one try to skim the pond. Those who clear the pond on their first run get one additional judged run.

Points will be awarded equally for Costume, Trick/Style, and Distance for a maximum point total of 30. Remember, bikinis and boardshorts go well with ski and snowboard boots! Prize packs for the top three competitors are K2 ski poles, Smith t-shirt, Salomon visor and hydration system, Dakine beanie and Cascade Lakes Lodge gift certificate.

Fine Print: Helmets are required; no ski poles on course; registration is open until 10 am day of event or until all slots are full; under 18 years of age must have a parent sign waiver.
